Pier Hall stands on the water in Rotterdam, about ten minutes from the central station. This guide covers how to arrive, where to sleep and what to expect at the door.
From the station
Allow about ten minutes from the platform to the door. The route has three steps.
Arrive at Rotterdam Centraal. Trains from Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht run several times an hour, and direct trains from Schiphol airport take roughly half an hour.
Take the tram for six minutes to the stop by the quay.
Walk four minutes along the water. Pier Hall is the long building at the end of the pier.
By bike it is 12 minutes from the station, and covered racks for 200 bikes sit next to the main entrance. Registration opens at 08:30 on both days, so leave the station by 08:00 to be early.
Where to stay
Three places to stay are within a short walk of the hall: 3, 5 and 9 minutes from the door. They are listed on the Venue page with the walk time for each. Rotterdam is busy in March, so book your room when you book your ticket.
Accessibility
Here is what the building and our team provide on both days.
The quay-side entrance is step-free, and lifts serve every floor.
Live captions run in Main Hall, Hall B and Hall C.
A quiet room in the Foyer is open all day on both days.
The front row of every room is kept for people who need it.
If you need anything else, such as a sign language interpreter or a seat near an exit, write to hello@example.com at least two weeks before the event and we will arrange it. We reply within two working days, and nobody is asked to explain why they need it.
