Maya Okafor

Maya leads the design systems team at Kestrow, where eleven product squads share one library of tokens, components and written rules. She joined when the system was a Figma file and a wiki page, and has spent six years turning it into something teams cite in design reviews rather than argue with.

At Halfstep she talks about running reviews that end with a decision and a named owner. On Thursday 18 March she also teaches a three-hour workshop, Tokens that survive a rebrand, at 09:00 in Studio 1.
